1. Complete the form, detailing your contact details, the funding section, why you want to go to Lourdes and sign the declaration.

2. Enclose two supporting references which should be personal to you and not generic with just the name changed. References are essential and should be presented on headed paper and signed. Guidelines for referees: please provide an insight into the applicant's ability to fund raise for themselves, their level of commitment and other personal circumstances that might influence what monies they are given

   Keep a copy of your application.

3. Please retain this half of the form for your records, and complete the bottom section, including uploading copies of your two references.

4. If your application is successful, you will receive a letter explaining you have been short-listed and will be contacted shortly. If your application is unsuccessful, we will give reason for this.

5. If you own a non-EU passport and require a VISA to travel to Lourdes, please apply for your correct, additional travel documents ASAP.

6. Please check you have an up-to-date DBS (previously labelled as CRB) form. This government Disclosure and Barring Service helps employers and voluntary organisations make safe recruitment decisions and prevent unsuitable people working with vulnerable groups, including children.

7. Please liaise with your Pilgrimage organiser/Group Leaders regarding your position with this safeguarding admin. This is your responsibility to arrange, not ARMFs.

8. Please check your pilgrimage's exact costs. ARMF is an independent funding body and is not responsible for varying pilgrimages’ financial plans. This is your responsibility, not ARMFs.

• If opting for 'partial funding' you should state clearly to your pilgrimage group and ARMF whether you wish to arrange your own travel insurance and provide evidence of this.

• Only in exceptional circumstances will full funding be given.

• In addition, only in outstanding circumstances will an applicant be considered after the closing date for applications.

• The Trustees would like to remind applicants that those applying for the second time will only be considered after decisions about first time applicants have been confirmed. ARMF only provides repeat bursaries to candidates in exceptional circumstances, and even then only if that year's budget allows it once first time applications that year have been considered
