I am writing to you on behalf of our students to thank you for the grant money that they received from the Alistair Roberts Memorial Fund…
….Our students would not have been able to embark on this life-changing experience if it was not for the help from the trust. Please pass on our gratitude to your members from us.

Thank you so much.

God Bless,
— Catherine - Leader of a school group on the Nottingham Diocese Pilgrimage

Lourdes is a trip that always amazes me and it has such a tremendous impact on my outlook over my faith and my life. Seeing so many people come together who are so deeply devoted to God and Catholicism and seeing their outlook on their lives as a whole really impacts the way I look at my faith since they give me new insights and opinions I may have not really discovered otherwise. Lourdes holds such a strong sense of love and community when everyone comes together in services or processions it’s amazing to watch, along with meeting so many amazing people each year it’s a gift that never stops giving. We got to go on an excursion to Gavarnie up in the mountains which has such beautiful views and allows the pilgrims a change of scenery and a great opportunity to see new things and socialise more freely and then come together for a rosary service. My favourite part of the trip is definitely the torch light procession and it amazes me each and every year seeing it come together and everyone singing and appreciating our Lady.

Thank you so much for the funding I received for Lourdes,
I appreciate it so much.

My week in Lourdes this Easter was as always amazing, special and memorable. This Easter was my first year as Group Leader which allowed me to really take in certain aspects of the week as I was able to take a step back and see the brilliant work my helpers were doing and the joy in the assisted adults’ faces. The week provided unexpected challenges at the same time there were joyful, happy moments. As a new group leader, I learned a lot about myself and I was able to learn from errors and the challenges I faced. I am now planning for Easter 2024, where the Scottish Region will be leading the week.

Many thanks for the grant the ARMF gave me,
allowing me to take on my trip to Lourdes once again.
